Conditions of reservations and cancellations
CONDITIONS OF RESERVATIONS, MODIFICATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
VOYAGES COSTE, COOPERATIVE OF SOLIDARITY FOR A SUSTAINABLE TOURISM ENVIRONMENT
Payment: a maximum deposit of $100cdn per person is required at the moment of reservation. The full amount is requested on a air or sea travel portion of the package sold.
The complete payment is required 45 days before the departure date. For reservations made 44 days or less prior to the delivery of the tourist product, complete payment is required. Reservations that are unpaid on the dates indicated with be cancelled automatically.
Voyages Coste accepts payment by cheques, in Canadian dollars, and credit card (Visa and MasterCard-Eurocard). If payment is made by credit card, the entire payment will be taken from the same card used for the deposit.
Last minute reservations: last minute reservations (less than 24 hours prior to arrival) will be accepted depending on the availability of the services and must be paid in full by credit card or cash.
Travel documents: The travel documents will be mailed 21 days prior to the departure date. Voyages Coste is not responsible for lost or stolen documents. It is the responsibility of the client or the client’s travel agency to advise Voyages Coste at least 5 days prior to the departure date that the documents have not been delivered. Failing to do so, could result in additional charges being required for new travel documents.
Modifications: once the deposit is received, a supplemental charge of $20cdn per reservation will be incurred for each modification. All modifications made to a reservation less than 3 days prior to the departure date could result in supplemental charges. All modifications requiring the re-issuing of airline tickets will result in an additional charge of $150cdn per person. Once an airplane ticket has been issued, no name changes will be accepted. No refunds once an airplane ticket has been issued.
Cancellation: all cancellations must be made by e-mail, mail, telephone or in person. To receive a refund, the travel documents must be returned to your travel agency or directly to Coste. The airplane and ferry tickets are not refundable, nor transferrable to a third party.
Cancellation fees:
* 31 + days prior departure: 20% of the amount per person + non-refundable charges from suppliers
* 30 -16 days prior departure: 40% of the amount person + non-refundable charges from suppliers
* 15 - 4 days prior departure: 60% of the amount per person + non-refundable charges from suppliers
* 3 –days and less prior departure: 100% of the amount per person. (No refund)
The preceding charges do not apply to clients who have subscribed to a cancellation insurance policy from Voyages Coste.
All cancellations must be received, in writing, by Voyages Coste prior to the departure date.
Refunds: all requests for refunds must be made, in writing, a maximum of 14 days following the end of your stay with Voyage Coste. Unused or partially used vouchers are non-refundable.
Immigration Canada: it is the responsibility of each traveler coming from a country other than Canada to insure they have all the necessary documents (passports and/or visas) to enter into Canada.
Supplementary conditions: travelling in remote areas such as Anticosti and the Lower–North-Shore can result in delays because of changing meteorological conditions. Voyages Coste commits to always accompanying their clients when changes beyond their control occur, but travellers should always keep in mind that delays in the schedule of up to 48 hours can occur. IN CASE OF A PARTICULAR WEATHER CONDITION WICH CAUSE A PROLONGATION OF THE TOUR, COSTE OR ITS MEMBERS ARE NOT RESPONSABLE FOR THE EXPENSES OCCURED FOR THE EXTRA LODGING OR MEALS.
Shares: for all packages greater than $200 per person, the price of the package sold includes a $20 share in Coste, the Cooperative for a Sustainable Tourism Environment. We thank you for supporting an organization devoted to equitable development of our region.
