4 nights/5 days Departures on Sunday
Sunday: Havre Saint-Pierre/Anticosti
- Depart the dock of Havre Saint-Pierre for the maritime crossing to Anticosti (duration:5h15). Possibility of airway transport upon demand.
- Night arrival and transfer to Auberge de la Pointe-Ouest
Monday: Anticosti national park
- Excursion to Anticosti national park
- Picnic at Observation river
- Nature walk of Vauréal canyon right to the falls
- Supper at l’Auberge MacDonald
- Sleep at Camping Wilcox
Tuesday: Anticosti
- Take time to visit the Rivière Patate and the surroundings
- Stop at Pointe-Carleton
- Discover the Jupiter river
- Picnic at pool #30
- Visit Kalimazoo and the exclosures Cailloux and Simonne
- Visit Port-Menier
- Return to Pointe-Ouest
- Supper
Wednesday: Anticosti (west sector)
- Visit the "Trois Plaines" cave*, discovered by your guide Danièle Morin
- Picnic at Lac Anna
- Visit the Anse-aux-Fraises
- Search for fossils at Cap-de-la-vache-qui-pisse
- Supper at Pointe-Ouest
- Campfire on the beach in the evening
Thursday: Port-Menier/Havre Saint-Pierre
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport
- Return to Havre Saint-Pierre at approx. 08h00 by air (flight time: 15min.)
* The visit of this cave is comprised of a 20 to 30 minute walk to the grotto from the parking lot; appropriate apparel (neoprene hip waders, helmet, and helmet lamp). The visit is of approximately 1 hour 30; the return is by foot on the same route used to enter. Equipment is provided. Wear good walking shoes and bring a warm sweater and an old raincoat or anorak.
* may be substituted by a visit to Jupiter river and the Kalimazoo falls upon request.
Price per person: $1,315 +tx and funds
Includes:
- Maritime transfert from Havre Saint-Pierre to Port-Menier
- Air travel from Port-Menier to Havre St-Pierre on Thursday
- Ground transportation for 5 days
- Accommodations for 4 nights (3 nights at an Inn and 1 night camping)
- The guide\naturalist
- Camping equipment including the sleeping bags
- The equipment for the visit into the cave
- 11 meals (3 dinners, 3 lunches, 4 breakfasts) and the snacks
