Winter
Coste, in the winter, becomes a vast expanse of white where off in the distance the neighbouring village invites you to jump on a snowmobile, put on some cross-country skis, snowshoes, or just a pair of boots and come visit them. Sometimes, a snowfall is followed by such a calm that you can almost feel time itself slowing down. Winter, a time for getting together, for celebrating, for getting far away from everything or for doing nothing at all, while the burning wood crackles beside you in the fireplace.
If you come, in the spring, you can expect to enjoy snowmobiling along the Route Blanche, in April, on the Lower North Shore. Just like spring skiing, great weather, bright sunshine, don our sunglasses and the trails await us between Natashquan and Blanc-Sablon, to take us from village to village while, as winter drifts away, the icebergs of Greenland, tired of drifting, run aground along the coast…
