If Jacques Cartier were to travel our territory today he would not notice much of a change, the wilderness and the landscapes have almost remained untouched. He called it the “Coste”, a coastline consisting of a thousand islands and today populated with courageous people who love their territory which is spread over several small villages.

You are invited to come and experience the last frontier amongst the people of these coastline communities, whether they are Francophone, Anglophone or Innu. Coste is a cooperative for a sustainable tourism environment representing more than 70 local organizations and businesses. It is Havre-Saint-Pierre and the Mingan archipelago, Natashquan and Gilles Vigneault, Anticosti and its thousands of deer and the Vaureal falls, Harrington Harbor and its wooden sidewalks, Blanc Sablon, the icebergs and the northern lights.

But most of all come and meet our local representatives who we affectionately call the “Coastliners”,smell the ocean breeze, see thousands of birds, the whales and the dolphins... in short, an invitation to discover and experience the last frontier and create memories that will last a lifetime!
