A real odyssey to an unexplored land

Thursday to Friday: Natashquan/ Blanc-Sablon

Departure at 08h00 from Natashquan aboard the N/M Nordik Express. One night on board with a superior category cabin. All meals included. During this cruise their will be ports of call in La Romaine (Innu community). Harrington Harbour (the site for the film Seducing Dr. Lewis, with its unique wooden sidewalks), Têtes-À-La-Baleine (spectacular archipelago of islands), La Tabatière/Mutton Bay and Saint Augustin... The on-board representative of Coste will be happy to advise you on the various excursions possible (see the section excursions 2011 ) while in the different ports of call or you can simply relax and enjoy your voyage.  

Friday:  Blanc Sablon

Arrival around 19h00 in Blanc Sablon. Transfer to pick up your rental car and settle in at the hotel for 1 night.  Dine onboard the ship before arrival.

Saturday:  Blanc Sablon/Battle Harbour (Labrador)

Breakfast. Enter into Labrador. Travel through the various coastal villages. At 11h00, lunch and then transfer onto the M/V Iceberg Hunter (1 hour and 25 minutes) on the St.Lewis strait up to Battle Island where we find the historical village of Battle Harbour where you will be transported back in time 200 years. Accommodations are in a restored building. An authentic change of scenery gauranteed!

Sunday: Battle Harbour/Blanc Sablon

Breakfast. Return by boat at 09h00. Stop at Red Bay, situated 88 kilometres from Blanc Sablon. Here we find an exceptional interpretation centre run by Parks Canada who pay tribute to this site which is now recognized by Unesco as a world heritage site. From as early as the XVI century, hundreds of whale hunters from France and Spain have been coming to hunt whales. Accommodations in Blanc Sablon and eat supper on your own after driving through the sector of Brador Falls and Old Fort.

Monday:  Blanc Sablon/Natashquan

Breakfast. Excursion by zodiac to observe icebergs, whales (if possible), birds and other marine mammals. Fly in the afternoon to Natasquan.

(OPTIONS: Airfare from Montréal or Quebec City; 5 day self-tour in Minganie; 1 or 5 day package on Anticosti, seaplane from Natashquan to Harrington Harbour)
 

Price per person double occ.:   $1,199 + taxes + Funds
